Construction Progress: Houston, We Have Drywall

Our project manager emailed us to say that the drywall had been hung, so of course we had to go and sneak a peek. And buddy, does it look amazing. There's something about the drywall that makes the house feel ten times more finished than it did last week.

They've also pretty much finished bricking our unit, although they still have work to do on the rest of the block.

And, finally, we got to see some cute neighbors.

They sure do leave behind a mess. The National Park Service has found an adorable and happy solution... I bet our dog would be an enthusiastic GEESE POLICE volunteer...

  3. So many windows! It's looks great. There is something about drywall that just brightens and opens the space up.

  4. Nice! We're you given the option as to where you want to place the cable lines? If so, where are you going to place the cable line? I've tried apps to help configure the layout of furniture, but the only couch layout that makes sense is like the model homes. However, that layout makes for an awkward TV viewing angle. What are your thoughts? We have our wiring consultation soon.

    1. I agree, there's no great place to put the TV, really. We ended up putting ours the same as the model home, and then getting one of those mounts with an articulating arm so the TV can be angled towards the living room area. It's not the best, but it'll do.
