Kudos to Our Project Manager

Literally one business day (in fact, less than!) after emailing the project manager the report from our home inspector:

(You'll recall the inspector was concerned the orange sprinkler pipe was close to the bottom of the joist, where it wouldn't be as well protected by insulation, especially in an unheated space like the garage.)

  3. We just signed for a Matisse in VA! I am so glad to have found your blog. This is our first home, so we need as much guidance as possible!
    Congratulations to you 2!
I have only looked at one inspector. He charges roughly 500 per inspections. Is that around hoe muc you guys spent? Would love to know other inspector options and cost. Thank you!

    1. Hey there -- it's so great to see another Matisse owner on here! Congratulations! We spent $400 on our inspection; that seemed to be the average for the few that we looked at. Does $500 include anything in addition to the pre-drywall inspection? We decided not to get an inspection at closing time since a lot of it are cosmetic things that we can identify.

    2. My friend just bought a new construction-not Ryan Homes. She paid $500 each time of inspection. He inspected after they poured the foundation, pre dry wall and final walk through. My realtor suggested that I get an inspection before the home warranty is up.
